Bile Duct Injury Advocacy Group is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by survivors, surgeons, and family members who believe these injuries are preventable — and that no patient should walk this road alone.

Our Mission

To reduce the incidence of iatrogenic bile duct injuries through surgeon education, advocacy for advanced imaging technology, and comprehensive support for affected patients and their families.

Our Initiatives

Safety Technology Advocacy. Promoting the routine use of ICG-fluorescence imaging to enhance clinically supported surgical visualization of biliary structures.
Patient Support Networks. Providing a platform for survivors to share stories and access medical and legal resources.
Legislative Outreach. Working to support fluorescent imaging as a standard of care in surgical centers nationwide so the "Critical View of Safety" is always achieved.
